A wealth of knowledge which, however, has never been closed to the outside, to the contrary it has always been open to new, vital energy for growth - and to allow growth. This will be demonstrated during the days of Design Week (April 18-23) in Milan. In the ex Ansaldo area (speaking of new growth from old roots), Maligno Industriarredamenti will propose a contest which has always summarised the philosophy which has made the company great: give architects (regardless of who they are) a chance to experiment their ideas "on the field". An openness to cultural exchange which, at Maligno Industriarredamenti, has been central since its inception. Just think of the many architects which, before becoming "great" on a world level, took their first steps by freely experimenting in the Beinette company. The path traced in 1947 by the progenitor, continued by his son Giorgio and now by Andrea Maligno has always been that of making available knowledge and tools for translating that same knowledge dreams into reality: the only way to grow in step with time while maintaining a unique relationship with the nature and naturalness of wood. "At the end of the contest we will reward the best project for the new hospitality functionality of the bedroom - Andrea Maligno, managing director of the Piedmont group, explains - We want to place creativity at the service of functionality, as we have always done: customisation and technology, hand-in-hand in cabinet making". For the same reason, the winner of the contest will not receive prize money, but much more.
The chance to realise his design at the company and to participate in other projects. This is the same road which, at the outset, brought Salvatore Maligno to be not only the first interior designer for the Grimaldi family of Montecarlo (and also the exclusive curator for the interiors of the Grace Kelly theatre), but an experimenter, as well. "When Princess Grace Kelly spoke about the use of rolled in furnishing - continues Andrea Maligno - my grandfather immediately thought of a Piedmont company which created the coverings for period trains with that material. Joining the potential of wood and of aluminium was a unique idea". And the fact that the modus operandi of the Maligno Industriarredamenti is unique both in terms of the results achieved and of the "character" of the completed works - the realisations of the Beinette company always succeed in expressing the personality of the client and the unique style of the group - is an aspect which has not escaped those who really want to express something with singular sophistication and functionality.
It is not by chance that giants like Lavazza, Italgelatine, Dimar, Pasteur Group of Montecarlo, Spencer Contract, Mauli, Roncadin Group, EDF France and Peugeot Italy (only to mention a few) have chosen Maligno Industriarredamenti as the calling card for immediate recognition in the public eye. And speaking of the public, another of the most important characteristics of Maligno Industriarredamenti is the art of placing everyone at ease: the designer and the client, but also anyone who "lives" the settings created by the group. "Our idea has always been that of creating a setting which can "dialogue" with those who "live" in that setting - concludes the managing director - we try to transfer the same vital characteristics which, in sixty years of experience, we have learned to read in the grain of every wood we use, to our creations". It would be difficult to mistake Maligno Industriarredamenti for any other company.
