Maligno Industriarredamenti has signed the design of the recently opened pharmacy in via Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto 111, in Andorno Micca (Biella). The owners, the doctors Savino, closed their traditionally pharmacy to transfer their business to a new 650 square meter store which transmits a new concept: a complete wellbeing centre able to offer health advice and services, where each person can find personalised answers and solutions that reflect their unique way of being. The task of achieving all this was entrusted to Maligno Industriarredamenti which, with ability and skill, has succeeded in this endeavour. Andrea Maligno, managing director of the company, stated: "The Savino pharmacy represents a new example of how the most advanced technologies can bind with the tradition of an ancient profession.

It is a virtual forest which represents an authentic revolution. We have offered the client dedicated spaces - on two floors - which go from a health area to a children's area, all set in a natural environment". Dr. Savino's pharmacy is the first to be authorised by the ASL (Local Health Agency) to include spaces dedicated to wellbeing. The architecture chosen recreates the metaphor of a journey, the destination being that of the daily discovery of what is hidden within us. The entrance suggests an airport boarding gate. The goal of transmitting maximum naturalness to the setting was reached by touching the senses: the clients will be surrounded by special lighting and sound effects. Special lighting technique solutions that adjust to sunlight have been created for the lighting. The audio sources recall cinematographic techniques where the music comes from above.

There are treatment booths for every type of treatment in the wellbeing area (from Ayurvedic, to Mediterranean, to Shiatsu, to Indian massage) as well as a "musical waterfall" that can be set in function of the client's preferences. Next to the rehab gym there is an area dedicated to orthopaedics. The pharmacy laboratory seems to be recreated on a desert isle in recollection of the possibilities of travel. The Piedmont based company sees the pharmacy as a space rich in possibilities. Organising daily activities with a different twist, seeing them and interpreting them in a new way using the cabinetmaker's artistry, skilfully blending the craftsman's uniqueness and care with new technologies.
